With only a month till Demo day (December 10th). I am proud to announce that my company, Illicit Mind , is the only black owned as well as female owned company left. ( Only 5 companies remain out of 17 when we started) . Illicit Mind (Illicitmind.com) is a hub for early staged entrepreneurial growth. We operate as a social incubator and help entrepreneurs from under recognized groups to start and grow their business through experiences, content and connections. We are currently raising money to get marketing supplies for demo day and grow our team. I would really appreciate if you could like, share or support our campaign ! The Back Story Illicit Mind is a hub for early staged entrepreneurial growth.
We provide entrepreneurs with a wide variety of products such as weekly events, content (articles and tutorials) and connections to mentors. We do this in a unique format that gives the entrepreneurs the: - Flexibility similar to being in a meetup group. - Direct and continuous support similar to being in an incubator. - Resources similar to what would be offered in an accelerator program. - And most importantly a tribe (community) of people who understand you and want to see you and your ideas succeed. In the last 9 months we have held over 20 experiences, created numerous amounts of content, built a community of over 500 members, helped over 20 entrepreneurs take their ideas and turn them into companies, helped over 10 aspiring entrepreneurs land internships at Startups and much more! Essentially we are known as a social incubator! Georgie-Ann Getton, founder of Illicit Mind is a 20 year old Mother, Student at Baruch College, Entrepreneur and member of the CUNY Incubator. In May we were accepted in the Incubator along with 16 other companies. Now 3 months later after working very hard, accomplishing our goals and growing our company, Illicit Mind is 1 of 5 companies left to debut on Dec 10th (demo day) to a panel of judges that will be awarding $25k worth to prize money. |
